The Hula Bowl, the once most prolific football show-down ever, would bring the nations best football players to the islands to showcase and share their talents in a competitive All-Star game. However in 1994, the Hula Bowl struggled to field two rosters, EAST vs WEST. Those that accepted the invitation were placed on the Mainland College All-Stars. The solution? Build a home-grown roster filled with current and past players that have Hawai'i ties and challenge the goliaths. Braddas and Faddas, whether they were in tip top football shape, or graduated several years prior were allowed to strap up their helmets one last time. This team was called the Hawai'i Pono'i All-Stars. This jersey is inspired by the original 1994 artifact from the Hawai'i Sports Museum.
